Aerodynamics Symposium 2019
An aerodynamics symposium is the kind of international event that most values the knowledge that Forlì can offer.
University of Bologna has in Forlì his central core for aerodynamics studies and flow dynamics computation laboratories. That’s the main reason leading Forlì campus to be the best candidate for such a symposium.
It is a custom for Aerodynamic to be addressed firstly with a theoretical approach and then with a practical one. Even though we hold important facilities theoretical approach is the most significant one.
The background of our professors in this field is remarkable and the quality of aerodynamics lectures is well known. This is one of the reasons for tight collaboration between University of Bologna and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. As it is known a Symposium provides theoretical teaching sessions in which we believe all these factors will be widely appreciated: on one side the frontal lectures held from well-qualified
professors and on the other a wide range of equipment and testing facilities that can be used and made available.
Our primary aim for the event is to arouse the participants’ interest in aerodynamics and help them gain knowledge on this topic. Additionally, we will include some cultural and social activities in the event’s schedule as well.
The event will consist of speeches, workshops, open dialogues and Soft Skills trainings. Furthermore, we ensure that the program will also contain Company Visits, a Cultural Night and Final Dinner. Taking all the above into consideration we established the following program:
Participation fee for Aerodynamics Symposium is 100€. It will cover the four nights of accommodation throughout the duration of the event, each of the meals during the event, and transportation within the event. Travel costs to Forlì will be covered by each participant. PAS Forlì-Bologna will not provide accommodation outside of the event dates, however, feel free to contact us, we will help you find a solution for any extra days.
Number of participants for the event is limited to 20 people.
After the confirmation of participation is sent to the people on the participants list, the confirmed members will have to follow the payment procedure exposed in the confirmation email. Failure to do so, will lead to a cancellation of their participation with the corresponding cancellation fees if applicable.
EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna will send the payment information to the confirmed applicants. EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna will accept bank transfers. The transfer costs for the service should be covered by the applicant, so that EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna receives an amount of 100€ for the Aerodynamics Symposium. EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna will not accept cash payments, unless participant presents a valid reason in advance, in this case EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna will study the case and decide on each case individually. Travel costs to Forlì are covered by each participant individually.
Participants’ AS/PAS/AM will have to confirm their membership in order to complete the application.
First Round of Applications
(17.08.2019 20:00 UTC – 02.09.2019 20:00 UTC) (2 weeks of application)
During this period only 2 members per (P)AS/(P)AM will be accepted. The selection criteria will be first come first served unless the (P)AS/(P)AM stablish a priority order for their applicants.
Second Round of Applications
(09.09.2019 20:00 UTC – 23.09.2019 20:00 UTC) (2 weeks of application)
During this period the remaining gaps will be granted to the next participant on the waiting list allowing a maximum of 1 participant per (P)AS/(P)AM in first come first served order unless the (P)AS/(P)AM stablish a priority order for their applicants. Furthermore, a new (P)AS/(P)AM representative shall have priority over other representatives of the (P)AS/(P)AM already present. Any vacant places will be covered following this procedure.
Deadline for free cancellation is 09.09.2019 20:00 UTC.
25% of the fee will be paid if the participant cancels after this date.
(16.09.2019 20:00 UTC) After this date, the applicant must pay 50% of the fee.
(23.09.2019 20:00 UTC) After this date, the applicant must pay 100% of the fee.
Participants on the waiting list that are admitted due to a cancellation or on the second round of applications, will have 1 week of free cancellation, from the moment the email of their acceptance is sent. After this week, the cancellation fee will be according to the periods listed above.

Statement of responsibility exoneration
I accept that participating to any of the Association’s activities I am responsible for myself and therefore exonerate and relieve EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna and its members from any civil and penal responsibility, for any potential damage, accident, injury and illness (including death and any kind of invalidity) caused to myself or others and connected or coming from the execution of the Association’s activities and the use of the facilities and the equipment EUROAVIA Forlì-Bologna needed to execute them, here included accidents and injuries to myself caused by others’ actions.
Waiver for shooting and publication of images, video and audio recording
I authorize the photography and/or the video and audio recording of myself, only done for institutional purposes, during any activity or event organized by the Association. I agree with the processing and publication, only for institutional purposes, of video and audio records, photos and/or images of myself on the website euroavia.eu and euroaviaforlibologna.eu, on the Facebook & Instagram pages, Twitter and on the EUROAVIA Newsletter.
